Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde will be without the services of Brazilian assailant Malcom for the following two weeks.

The Catalan side issued an announcement on Thursday affirming that the forward has sprained his right ankle and is expected to be sidelined for 10 to 15 days.

The damage constrained the previous Bordeaux man to fall off in the final minutes of Wednesday night’s victory over Cultural Leonesa.

 

He is set to miss both LaLiga Santander recreations against Espanyol and Levante, as well as Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.

It stays to be seen whether he will play in the last match of 2018, on December 22 against Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou, as it is entirely dependant on his recovery.

 

Malcom left the field in a devastate state of mind subsequent to grabbing his most latest injury; the knock came after the 21-year-old had enjoyed a good evening, scoring a goal and taking advantage of one of the few opportunities that has come his way.
