UEFA are set to hand Sergio Ramos an extended ban
Sergio Ramos is going to face further punishment by UEFA. The Real Madrid defender admitted to picking up a yellow card on purpose in the match against Ajax. Anyway UEFA are clasping down on player’s strategically getting appointments and now Ramos is facing an extra one-match ban.
Ramos desperately tried to change his story but the damage was already done. It isn’t the first run through this has occurred with Madrid in the Champions League either.
Mourinho told both Ramos and Xabi Alonso to get sent off against Ajax so they would have a clean slate for the Last 16 matches. Ramos maintained a strategic distance from an extra boycott that day however was fined for his activities.
