Sarri reveals talks with Chelsea board over transfer plans for next season
MAURIZIO SARRI has revealed he has been holding talks with the Chelsea board over transfer plans for next season – in spite of confronting the sack.
But Sarri has claimed he’s « always relaxed » – and was discussing his summer plans for the Blues while discuss his conceivable sacking thundered on.
The Stamford Bridge boss went on to say he is much more content after his side clung on for a 2-1 prevail upon Fulham on Sunday.
Sarri said: “I feel the same as before, but happier because the results are positive.
« When everyone talked about my dismissal, I was talking with the club to plan the team for next season, so I was constantly loose. »
Sarri was indebted to two of his former Napoli stars for the win at Craven Cottage, with Gonzalo Higuain and Jorginho jumping on the scoresheet.
Even if Sarri does manage to hold on to his job in West London – as he begs for time to implement his « Sarri-ball » style – he will most likely be unable to make any moves this mid year.
Chelsea face the impending threat of being slapped with a transfer ban for their approach to signing young players, including Bertrand Traore, throughout the years.
