PSG chasing Liverpool star Fabinho and Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye
PSG have identified Fabinho and contacted Idrissa Gueye over January moves, according to reports.
It is understood the French champions are desperate to sign a holding midfielder and the Merseyside combine both fit the bill.
Adrien Rabiot is expected to leave in January after falling out with the club in the midst of his refusal to sign another agreement.
And rather than let him go for free in the summer, the Parisian side need to take advantage of him.
as per L’Equipe, PSG have been in contact with Gueye’s representatives to try and bring in the Everton player.
He is viewed as a back-up alternative to past target N’Golo Kante who submitted his future to Chelsea last month by signing a £290,000-a-week, five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Gueye and Kante are comparable in style, known for their handling and block attempts, but the former Lille and Aston Villa player would be considerably cheaper.
Another option is Liverpool midfielder Fabinho with PSG enthused about a credit move.
The Reds man marked from Monaco in the late spring for £44m yet did not highlight in the Premier League until October 20 as Jurgen Klopp looked to integrate him gradually.
Be that as it may, it appears to be far-fetched Liverpool would be set up to let Fabinho leave to a Champions League rival – especially as they are top of the league.
