Man City eye up Leicester’s £50m left-back Ben Chilwell in January
Man City are reportedly plotting another raid on Leicester to convey left-back Ben Chilwell to the Etihad.
After signing Riyad Mahrez in the summer for a club-record deal, Pep Guardiola could hope to obtain another star player from the Foxes.
As indicated by the Mirror, the Premier League champions are eyeing up a £50million move for the England international.
Though Leicester are unlikely to accept an offer considering Chilwell only extended his contract in October to keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2024.
But with Mendy restricted to just 16 top-flight starts since joining from Monaco last season, City are accepted to reexamine their alternatives at full-back.
Chilwell, 21, has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season with the Foxes, showing up in each Premier League amusement up until now.
He has chipped in with two assists for Claude Puel’s side, and has set up himself as England’s first decision left-back.
And he will be looking to make an impression once again when Leicester travel to Selhurst Park on Monday to face Crystal Palace.
