Latest transfer news : Munir El Haddadi joins Sevilla
Sevilla have announced their agreement for the signing of Munir El Haddadi from Barcelona, pending a restorative examination.
The 23-year-old’s exit from Barcelona was on the cards ever since he rejected two contract offers from the Catalan club.
With his agreement set to lapse in the late spring, Barcelona were quick to offer in January in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
Sevilla will pay just over one million euros for the Spanish international who is set to put pen-to-paper on a four-year bargain.
He becomes Sevilla’s second January signing after the capture of Austrian safeguard Maximilian Wober from Ajax.
Despite interest from Atletico Madrid, Munir chose Sevilla with more first team opportunities seeming likelier in Andalusia than in the Spanish capital.
