Having allegedly been targeted by racist chants on Wednesday, Kalidou Koulibaly has issued a reaction.
Napoli protector Kalidou Koulibaly hit back at fans who supposedly exposed him to racist abuse during his side’s clash against Inter at San Siro on Wednesday.
Koulibaly staying proud
The Nerazzurri asserted a 1-0 Serie A success over Carlo Ancelotti’s side thanks to a last-gasp goal from Lautaro Martinez.
After the match, Ancelotti said they asked for the match be suspended three times due to fans directing offensive chants at Koulibaly.
Ancelotti claimed there were three separate warnings issued in the stadium but that the maltreatment proceeded in any case.
On Twitter, Koulibaly, who was sent off in the closing stages, told his followers that he is « proud » of his legacy and of being a piece of Napoli’s footballing society.
« I’m sorry for the defeat and above all for having left my siblings! » he composed.
« Be that as it may, I’m glad for the shade of my skin. Of being French, Senegalese, Neapolitan: man. »
