Hazard to end Real Madrid’s goal crisis
The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer led to a sharp decline in goals from Real Madrid during the 2018/19 crusade contrasted with ongoing seasons.
The likes of Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio failed to reach anywhere near the heights that were expected of them as Karim Benzema’s count of 30 was by a wide margin the greatest of any Los Blancos player.
In fact, Real Madrid scored 40 fewer goals during the season just gone (108) than they did amid Ronaldo’s last year at the club (148).
For context, they scored 173 goals during 2016/17 when they won the league and Champions League double and 174 amid the 2011/12 association title winning season under Jose Mourinho.
Z .Zidane knows that the team are going to have to start finding the net more frequently if they are going to compete with Europe’s elite again.
That’s why Eden Hazard is being brought in. The Belgian star isn’t a predator in the penalty area, yet he contributes immense numbers for objective inclusions.
For example, he contributed to a total of 38 goals for Chelsea during the season just gone:21 goals and 17 assists.
The forward often makes the difference and proved it during Chelsea’s 4-1 Europa League last win over Arsenal as he scored two and set up another.
Right now, Hazard is still a blue, but Zidane and Real Madrid are hoping to see him scoring and making objectives in white soon.
