Harry Kane could return for Champions League match
HARRY KANE is edging closer to a return after making significant progress in his recovery from injury.
Kane, who is Tottenham’s top-scorer with 20 goals in all competitions, was initially discounted until March however medicinal staff at Spurs are quietly confident he could return earlier than that.
The England captain will play no part in Sunday’s match at home to Leicester however Spurs are idealistic he could be back for their immense Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund next week.
Coming up short that, Kane is relied upon to include in their match at Burnley on February 23.
The Spurs talisman suffered ankle ligament damage in the closing minutes of the 1-0 defeat against Man United.
That injury – which saw him require crutches – occurred after Kane was caught in the middle of United defenders Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof, as Spurs pushed for an equalizer.
