Gunner get huge boost in race for Nicolas Pepe
ARSENAL target Nicolas Pepe could be sold by Lille for “the right price”, as per reports.
Pepe, who has scored 17 times in 28 games this season, has attracted the attention of Gunners boss as an alternative to fill their right wing.
Football.london report that Lille are prepared to sell the 23-year-old forward with a sticker price of around £50million.
The Gunners are looking to secure a formidable wideman, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alex Iwobi frequently sent on the flanks by Unai Emery.
Lille’s sporting director Luis Campos admitted to Telefoot that selling Pepe is an alternative since they are « not a rich club ».
Campos said: « We are not a rich club – it means that if a really good proposal comes in for Pepe, we need to move him. »
Even Pepe’s manager Christophe Galtier cited the winger should play for a « Champions League club ».
However, Arsenal F.C are reportedly joined by Man United and Barcelona F.C in the race for Pepe’s signature.
