Gundogan considering quitting Manchester City
GUNDOGAN will keep Man City waiting over his new deal at the Etihad.
The German international has just over a year left on his contract and has been in talks over another one for a while.
As yet the 28-year-old has not made his mind up over where his future lies – and now says he is probably not going to choose until the late spring.
Pep Guardiola has made it clear he wants the former Borussia Dortmund man to stay – however just if the players needs to be there.
Also, Gundogan stated: « There is no decision yet otherwise I would have signed or rejected a contract.
« We are still in talks yet I don’t feel there is much weight, maybe also because we are still competing in all the competitions.
« Obviously one day there has to be a decision but I am very happy at the moment here especially about the way we play and how we play under Pep, and that is the primary concern. »
Gundogan hinted he may want to look for a new challenge – and that would leave Man City with a colossal predicament.
They may look to cash in on the midfielder this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing in summer 2020.
But he said: « This is something everyone has to decide for themselves. I am 28 years of age now so my next contract will possibly choose where I will be for the finish of my vocation.
