Marcos Alonso, David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta will also return to the starting line-up in front of Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal , after the entire Chelsea protection was turned yet again in Europe.

Olivier Giroud gave Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri – himself suffering from a fever yesterday – something to consider when picking his side for the Everton diversion subsequent to scoring the Blues’ objective in their 1-0 prevail upon BATE, but it is likely that Alvaro Morata will once again start up-front.

Willian and Pedro will once again compete for the third spot in the front three, nearby Hazard and Morata.

Meanwhile Mateo Kovacic did himself no harm in his push for a starting place on Sunday after an amazing substitute appearance the previous evening.

The Croatian faces a battle for the third berth in midfield alongside Jorginho and Kante, having not begun Chelsea’s past two Premier League matches.
