Arsene Wenger ‘has been in talks for a considerable length of time’s with AC Milan over replacing Gennaro Gattuso
ARSENE WENGER is being lined to replace Gennaro Gattuso at AC Milan, as per reports.
The Frenchman who has been out of work since leaving Arsenal in May has been in discusses assuming control at the San Siro, guarantee France Football.
Wenger recently revealed to Sky Sports he is missing the day-to-day involvement following 22 years at Arsenal and was certain of an arrival one year from now.
The 69-year-old stated: « I’ll be some place ahead of schedule one year from now yet I don’t know where, I got a decent rest. I watched a ton of football, I miss it. »
Wenger has been linked with the sporting director gig at Paris Saint-Germain amid reports of unrest between Antero Henrique and head mentor Thomas Tuchel.
Under-fire Milan boss Gattuso is hanging on to his job despite a recent upturn in form, winning six of his last eight recreations.
Billionaire businessman Paul Singer took control of Milan in June and has just enlisted ex-Gunners chief executive Gazidis to take up a similar job at the San Siro.
Singer, who has spent a lot time in London watching Premier League football, is a big fan of Wenger and has allegedly given the green light to Gazidis to reach the French mentor.
And Gazidis, despite his issues with Wenger towards the end of his time in North London, needs his experience to enable Milan to begin to test the residential dominance of Juventus.
Wenger led the Gunners to three Premier League titles, seven FA Cup triumphs and the 2006 Champions League last, where they lost to Barcelona in Paris.
