The Manchester City star was to have begun for Portugal in their UEFA Nations League conflict with Poland tomorrow night, but he has returned to his club today ahead of schedule, according to the O Jogo website.
He should now be viewed as liable to miss City’s Premier League match against a resurgent West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday.
