Barcelona midfielder Arthur ruled out for three to four weeks
Bad news for Barcelona. Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo will be out for between three and a month with a hamstring issue.
According to a statement from barcelona, Arthur Ramos Melo underwent tests on Friday which confirmed the severity of his problem ahead of a decisive month for the barcelona club.
Arthur will miss La Liga games against Athletic Club, Real Valladolid and Sevilla, just as the Champions League diversion against Lyon.
He will also miss the Copa del Rey semifinal second leg against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. It will be tough for him to make the class against Madrid, in a similar setting, after three days.
Being realistic, it’s most likely Arthur will be back for the game against Rayo Vallecano on March 10 (La Liga) and the Champions League amusement against Lyon (second leg, March 13).
Barça manager Valverde has been left without one of his key midfielders. Along with Busquets and Rakitic, he’s played the most minutes amidst the pitch.
