Ancelotti reveals how he convinced Napoli star to stay
Fresh off the back of another draw with Paris Saint-Germain in Europe, Carlo Ancelotti is demonstrating that he has what it takes to lead Napoli.
The head coach has done a great job after taking over from Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri and he addressed DAZN, enumerating more about his first months in Naples and how he persuaded Marek Hamsik to remain.
« I realized that Hamsik had an offer to leave, at that point I disclosed to him that for me it was an imperative player and that I would have preferred in the event that he had left, I revealed to him I needed to change his job: maybe this is what convinced him to stay because he wanted to try something new.
“The possibility of going back to the Italian league is one of the things that convinced me the most to accept the Napoli proposal. From a specialized perspective, talking in English does not make any issue, but rather from a passionate and mental perspective, talking one’s own dialect is something else.
« De Laurentiis? The president and I have talked now and again for a considerable length of time. This mid year we likewise did the occasions together.
He is a president who has become passionate with time: now he follows everything, he informs everything, but knows how to delegate. He is an extremely straight to the point individual. »
