AC Milan to go all out for Cesc Fàbregas in January
Cesc Fàbregas has not been enjoying a regular starting berth under Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea, with N’Golo Kanté, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic the Italian’s favored midfield three.
It is broadly expected that the previous Barça and Arsenal midfielder will seek pastures new in January with a queue of clubs forming for his services.
Fàbregas is already understood to have held informal talks with Galatasaray, Atlético Madrid and PSG, yet two different clubs have risen in the running and either could be a more likely destination than those three.
Monaco manager Thierry Henry is keen to be reunited with his former Arsenal teammate in a bid to salvage his side’s season, yet Italian supporter Mediaset have guaranteed that AC Milan will haul out the stops to arrive the 31-year-old.
Milan want Fàbregas to spearhead Champions League push
Fàbregas is out of agreement at Stamford Bridge next summer and it seems abundantly clear that he will not be extending his deal.
Chelsea would therefore prefer to make some money out of a transfer in January rather than waiting until next summer when Fàbregas can leave on a free.
An expense of 10 million euros has been mooted and Milan would joyfully meet that.
